Prep Baseball Oklahoma Staff

After a long summer in watching prospects through tournaments, special state events, and our own events, we take an updated look at the 2027 class rankings.  This class also sees a lot of movement in this update after we got a closer look at some of the top uncommitted prospects competing against some of the best talent in the region at the Central Region Super Sophomore Games and various other events around the state. Today we take a look at some shakeups and newcomers in the Top 10 as well as some spotlighted prospects that had strong performances in front of us this past summer.

We have 2 events on the schedule for this fall with still plenty of spots available.  Click HERE for more event information and secure your spot today.

Dunlap ran the FB up to 92 mph while showing a hard SL at 85-86 mph and mixing in a 79-80 mph CB for strikes. The two-way prospect also showed out this summer as a position player where he showed some potential behind the dish where he recorded pop times as low as 1.86 pairing it with a 93 mph max exit velo and 92 mph OF velo. Dunlap continues to develop which makes him a high follow going into his sophomore campaign.

Keon Young OF / RHP / Enid, OK / 2027

Keon Young jumps up 12 spots into the number 2 spot in the rankings after a strong freshman campaign at Enid where he got valuable varsity experience, where he also followed it up with a strong summer. Young jumped up to 88 on the mound with a hard wipeout upper 70s SL at the Super Sophomore Games in Kansas City in August, where he also ran a 6.84 60 where he produced at the plate in gameplay. Young has cemented himself as a true two-way prospect going into his sophomore season.

Jaxon Adcock SS / RHP / Cameron, OK / 2027

Jaxon Adcock sees one of the biggest jumps in the rankings where he moves up from number 33 to number 8 in this most recent update. Adcock is starting to put it all together as he has made massive jumps on the mound where in August, he topped at 85 mph with the FB while adding a quality mid 70s SL with the ability to get swings and misses. Adcock has also made a leap on the offensive side where he got up to 91.6 mph max exit velo, while also showing quality actions in the infield making him a high follow as he continues to progress.

Beau Davis 3B / 1B / Carl Albert, OK / 2027

Beau Davis enters the rankings for the first time at number 11 after a strong summer on the circuit. Davis has shown some power stuff that included getting up to 85 at the BOA Scout Day, but has ticked up in other settings. Davis has the bloodline and has shown the potential to be a true power arm going into his sophomore year.

Tucker Brown OF / SS / Mustang, OK / 2027

Tucker Brown shoots up the rankings 18 spots where he slides in at number 13 for our most recent update. Brown is a true utility who has shown quality actions in both the infield and outfield in some of our most recent looks at him. Brown has shown the ability to hit in games which translated to a 90.6 max exit velo in the Top Prospects Games in June.

Jeron Dow RHP / SS / Enid, OK / 2027

Jeron Dow enters the rankings for the first time at number 15 where he showed strong stuff at the Super Sophomore Games in August where he ran the FB up to 87 mph. The lengthy RHP pounds the zone with the FB while also mixing in a low 70s SL with sharp action and also utilizes a mid 70s CH to play with timing. Dow still has room to fill out and has shown he has the stuff to make another jump which makes him an intriguing follow.

Clint Ladon enters the rankings at number 23 after strong spring and summer seasons. The MIF was one of the key contributors in the Marlow Outlaws' 4A State Title run hitting out of the leadoff spot all spring producing as much as any freshman in the state. Ladon followed up the strong spring producing this summer where he put some of the talent on display in games and at the BOA Scout Day early in the summer.

Jack Hanson 1B / LHP / Stillwater , OK / 2027
