NOC Tonkawa Uncommitted Spotlight: Ethan Rossi

Scott Hood
Oklahoma State Director

With the JUCO season winding down, we take a look back at some of the top uncommitted prospects that took part in our scout day with NOC Tonkawa.

ETHAN ROSSI

The redshirt freshman and University of Illinois Chicago kickback is having a strong first season in Tonkawa hitting .356  with 17 doubles, 4 homers, and 60 RBI.  What stands out the most is unique plate discipline which has seen him rack up 40 walks to his 30 strikeouts as well as ripping off 6 steals in 7 attempts.  In our workout back in the fall, Rossi worked exit velos up to 93.9 mph and a strong average of 91 mph across his round.  He also showed some arm strength in the outfield reaching up to 88 mph.  Standing at 6-foot and 200 pounds, Rossi has put up the type of numbers that should give programs at the next level to take a closer look at and will still have three years of eligibility at his next stop.
