PBR OK strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

This fall and winter, PBR OK will be highlighting some of the top ranked and uncommitted players in the 2018 Class as they prepare to enter their senior seasons. Today, we look at a one of the strongest bats in OK's 2018 class, Kade Self.

Scouting Report

2-4-18
An impressive 6-foot-3, 230-pound frame packed with strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a front foot heavy set-up with rhythm in his high-set hands and barrel tipped towards the pitcher. Uses a big and smooth rocking load followed by a small stride before launching his hands on a short and flat path to contact and a high finish. In BP, shows a flat middle to opposite field approach with occasional lift, mostly barrels, advanced bat speed and elite strength, 91 mph exit velo. Runs a 6.86 60. Behind the plate, shows strong hands when receiving with consistent and clean footwork and transfers. Showcase pop times of 1.98-2.07 with some accuracy, 75 mph. At first base, shows athletic movements around the bag.
