Top Pitching Velocities For Uncommitted Players In Each Oklahoma Class

Though not every uncommitted arm is throwing this fall, Prep Baseball Report Oklahoma has traveled the state attempting to see every arm possible. Today, PBR Oklahoma takes a look at the top velocities produced by uncommitted players in each class. Though each player on this list is a two-way player, their pitching ability is all this will be discussed in this article.
2017 Class
Austin Warfel, RHP/1B, Westmoore HS
A 6-foot, 180-pound proportional build. Uses a rhythmic windup, high leg kick, and pulls down hard out front. Fastball sits 85-88 mph and touching 89 mph, effective both up and down in the zone. Shows a changeup at 75-76 mph with fade, thrown to both RHH and LHH effectively. Slider shows late depth at times with 10/4 shape at 75-77 mph. Also throws a tumbling curveball at 71-72 mph.
Darian Davis, SS/RHP, Byng HS
A 5-foot-10, 170-pound lean, athletic, muscular build. On the mound, simple, fluid delivery, high-3/4 slot, loose arm. Fastball keeps its plane, 86-88 mph, touches 89. Slider shows tight rotation, flashes late break with depth, 74-77, 10/4 shape. Curveball sits 70-72 mph, 11/5 shape, rolling action. Changeup flashes run and sink, full arm speed, 74-76 mph.
2018 Class
A.J. Moore, RHP/SS, Moore HS
A 6-foot, 170, proportional build. Works from a smooth, up-tempo, athletic delivery, high leg kick. Arm action is loose, fluid, high-3/4 slot, hooks the ball in the back. Fastball sits 87-89 mph, touching 90, flashes late, heavy, arm-side run. Slider is thrown with full arm speed, shows depth at 76-78 mph.
2019 Class
Kale Davis, RHP/3B/C, Mustang HS
A 6-foot-2, 190-pound athletic build, long limbs, proportional strength. On the mound, fluid delivery, good rhythm, over the top slot, upright finish. Fastball keeps its plane, 83-85, curveball has 12/6 shape, 70-73, slider has cutting action, 75-76.
2020 Class
Dax Fulton, LHP/1B, Mustang HS
A 6-foot-4, 190-pound left-handed pitcher, long limbs, strong lower half. Clean, up-tempo delivery, high leg kick, strides slightly closed, high-3/4 slot, fluid arm action. Fastball sits 81-83 mph, flashed late cut glove side. Two-seam shows some run and sink, 76-78. Changeup has good fade and depth, 73-75. Curveball rolls, 1/7 shape, 69-71.
