Season Outlook
The Yukon Millers will have a much different look in 2017, losing seven starters, six of whom to graduation. They will return a few senior ready to lead the way along with some young talent who could step up and produce another successful year and a possible post season run again.
On the mound, the Millers will be lead by a pair of seniors, Cross Factor (Cowley College) and Breyden Alberson, and a pair of juniors, Jack Pritchard and Dalton DeBaud. Though none of these four have shown overpowering velocity yet, they all posses enough stuff and competitiveness to hold any offense at bay. Though he will be spending most of his time behind the dish, young and hard-throwing Oklahoma commit Payton Miller could make some appearances on the mound as well.
Offensively, the talented left-handed hitting Factor will be at the heart of the Yukon lineup. Looking to have a breakout year and join Factor in the middle of the order will be sophomore Nollan Koon. A long and athletic Pritchard will look to build on last year and be a big offensive piece for the Millers as well.
Defensively, Yukon will be very strong behind the dish will Miller, whose big arm will likely shut down most running attacks. The left side of the infield will also be extremely capable featuring Alberson at shortstop and Factor, who proved this summer he could be a dynamic infielder, at third base.
