Oklahoma Class of 2022 Rankings Update

It has been an absolute pleasure to cover the 2022 class in Oklahoma over the last 3 1/2 years. It is bitter sweet to release our last class rankings for this group of talented players. Below we take a look at the top 5 and the top 5 risers in the class. In the coming days, we will also cover the top uncommitted talent still on the hunt for a place to play at the next level. Jackson Holliday SS / 2B / Stillwater, OK / 2022For as long he has been in high school, there has been no debate that Holliday has been one of the top pure hitters in the class. The Oklahoma State signee with blood lines has added pop, speed, and elite defense to his game this year which has seen him rise into the first round on most draft boards. The left-handed hitter has had a hot start to his year and is an early favorite for OK player of the year.

Brennan Phillips LHP / OF / Owasso, OK / 2022There is arguably no better pitchability left-hander in the country than Phillips. Commanding three pitches for strikes each and every times out with swing and miss stuff, it is become to expect that Phillips delivers a complete game shutout when the Oklahoma State signee toes the rubber for the Rams.

Gabe Davis RHP / OF / Choctaw, OK / 2022It is all about growth and projection with the physically impressive 6-foot-7 right-hander. Davis has shown not only a velo jump into the low-mid 90s, but is also commanding the baseball at a level we have not seen out of him in the past. A clean delivery and long limbs leave a lot still to dream on for Davis and make him a must see prospect for scouts.

Caden Powell SS / RHP / Clinton, OK / 2022The Oklahoma commit confirmed for the nation what we here in OK already knew, that he is one of the top power bats in the class. At the Super 60 the right-handed hitter posted an event best 106 exit velo with wood. A 3 sport star at Clinton, Powell has just started to scratch the surface of his baseball abilities. |

Parker Coil LHP / 1B / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2022Another high-end pitchability left-hander in Parker Coil checks in at No. 5 on our list. The Arkansas commit features an upper 80s low 90s fastball with tilt and angle that he pairs with a big near 12/6 curveball.

Another elite left-hander in the class, the Eastern Oklahoma commit dominates the zone with an upper 80s fastball while also mixing above average slider and changeup. At 6-3 and a deceptive arm action, James leaves hitters scratching their heads on the way back to the dugout. James rises 18 spots in this rankings.

Jackson Smith 1B / OF / Owasso, OK / 2022Rankings StateRank: 21 / POS: 1
Few hitters in the state are as hot as the Easton Oklahoma commit is right now. The left-handed hitter is hitting for an outrageous average as well as showing big pop for the unbeaten Rams. Smith is up 28 spots in this edition of the rankings.

Fredieu had a big spring last year and an impressive showing at the OK Preseason All-State which has landed him in the top 50 prospects in the state. Fredieu will make an immediate impact wherever he lands and the next level with elite speed on the basepaths and in centerfield. |

Noah Smallwood SS / 2B / Owasso, OK / 2022Rankings StateRank: 46 / POS: 11
Smallwood has made a huge impact for the undefeated Rams as he has anchored the defense at SS and been a table setter at the top of the lineup collecting hits. The Crowder commit moves up nine spots with his hot start. |

Jaxon McAuliff 3B / C / Jenks , OK / 2022Rankings StateRank: 57 / POS: 5
One of the most impressive physical frames in the class, McAuliff see his name rise 21 spots after putting up strong measurables at the OK Preseason All-State Showcase and making an impact for a strong Jenks squad this spring. |
