The third annual Preseason All-State Showcase was held at The Grind sports facility in Oklahoma City, OK on Sunday, February 3rd. This one day event featured a completely sold out event of 100 prospects in the 2019-2022 classes from around the state showcasing their skills in front of PBR staff.
This talented event saw impressive numbers in every category, including 16 sub seven second 60s, eight 90+ exit velos, 10 arms that were 85+ across the infield (top 92), nine arms that were 85+ from the outfield (top 91), four sub two second pop times, and 10 pitchers that were 85+ (top 93)

Brenton Beck RHP / Atoka, OK / 2019A 6-foot-3, 195-pound frame with broad shoulders and room to add more size. On the mound, the right-hander works from a slightly up tempo and simple delivery with a high leg kick and a long stride down the mound. Arm action is long, loose, and fluid behind him before coming through a low-¾ slot with elite arm speed. Fastball ranges 89-93 mph with consistent and heavy arm-side run. Knuckle curve shows occasional 10/4 shape at 76-77 mph, some strikes. Changeup has some fade at 78-79 mph, some strikes. Slider is still developing with cutter type action 81-83 mph. |
Cody Floyd C / 3B / Yukon, OK / 2019A proportional 5-foot-11 , 165-pound frame. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a high leg kick before striding down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action is full, clean, and fluid in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with some arm speed. Fastball keeps its plane at 78-82 mph, all strikes. Curveball has slurvy 10/4-11/5 shape with gradual depth at 64-65 mph, some strikes. Changeup shows consistent fade and is thrown with full arm speed at 71-72 mph, almost all strikes. |
Nick Jordan 2B / RHP / Choctaw, OK / 2019A 5-foot-10 , 170-pound frame with room to add size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with rhythm, using a high leg kick and a slight coil at the top before striding to the dish and finishing balanced. Arm action is clean and loose in the back with moderate length before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 73-75 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball has 12/6 shape with consistent depth at 60-62, almost all strikes. Changeup shows some fade at 70-71 mph, some strikes. |
Diego Ramirez 3B / RHP / Bethany , OK / 2019A 5-foot-11 , 200-pound durable frame. On the mound, the right-hander works only from the stretch with simple delivery and average tempo with a high leg kick before striding down the mound and finishing balanced.Arm action is long and controlled in the back with a quick change of direction at the bottom of the arm stroke before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball sits 73-75 and shows occasional arm side run, mostly strikes. Curveball shows 12/6 shape and gradual break for consistent strikes at 55-56 mph. Changeup sits 62-63 with heavy fade and is best as a chase pitch. |
