Prep Baseball Report Oklahoma hosted the OK Fall Top Prospects Games at beautiful Failing Field on the campus of Norther Oklahoma College at Enid. This invite only event featured over 85 of the top players from every class in Oklahoma. Each player participated in a pro style showcase to get all the measurables, followed by games where the PBR staff and multiple colleges had the chance to watch them in game situations.
Today, we look at all of the underclass right-handed pitchers from the event. Though many of them are skilled two-way players, they will be covered here as arms only, with other positional analysis to come later.

Underclass RHP
Carson Atwood RHP / 3B / Silo , OK / 2020A 6-foot, 190-pound durable frame with strength throughout. On the mound, works from an up tempo delivery with athleticism, rhythm, and quality leg drive down the mound that he repeats well. Arm action is full, fluid, and fast, coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball shows some downhill tilt, 87-89 mph and touched a 90 in warmups. Slider shows late 11/5 shape with some late depth and tight spin, could turn into a plus pitch down the road. Changeup shows above average fade, 72-73 mph. In the game, Atwood was dominant, not allowing a hit and striking out two hitters in his inning of work. |
Nolan Burrage SS / 1B / Atoka, OK / 2020An extremely projectable 6-foot-2, 155-pound lean frame with plenty of room to add size and strength. Works from an up tempo delivery with rhythm. Arm action is moderate with a slight pause in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot cleanly and quickly. Fastball sits 77-78 mph with occasional cut and looks to have a lot more in the tank. Curveball is still developing, 11/5 shape, gradual break, 61-62 mph. Burrage is an arm to keep track of as he continues to put on size |
Caleb Ebert RHP / SS / Deer Creek , OK / 2020A lean 5-foot-10, 145-pound frame with plenty of room to add size and strength. Works from a deliberate and smooth delivery, glides down the mound, and finishes violently. Arm action is short in the back and shows some quickness out front, coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 77-78 mph. Curveball sits 65-67 mph with gradual break and 11/5 shape, thrown with near fastball arm speed. Changeup shows some sink and fade, 69-70. In the game, threw mostly strikes, but missed up with a few pitches. |
Zachary Escovedo 2B / RHP / Edmond Memorial , OK / 2020A 5-foot-8, 150-pound lean frame. On the mound, works from an abbreviated wind up with above average tempo and rhythm. Throws multiple pitches from multiple slots with advanced feel for the strike zone from each. Fastball sits 77-79 from 3/4 slot and 75-76 from the side with heavy run and sink. Curveball from the higher slot has 12/6 shape, shows some late depth, and is thrown with full arm speed at 65-66 mph. Also mixes in a slider from the side with 10/4 shape. Changeup is thrown from both slots, but really shines with sink and fade from the side, 69-70 mph. Had a quick inning of work in the game, challenging hitters and drawing weak contact. |
Cole Hill SS / RHP / Rejoice Christian , OK / 2020A 5-foot-7, 140-pound frame packed with strength. On the mound, works from a deliberate wind-up with a moderate leg kick and short stride. Arm circle is moderate with a quick change of direction in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with hand speed out front. Fastball keeps its plane at 80-82 mph and touches 83. Curveball has late sharp depth with 11/5 shape at 67-68 mph. Changeup shows slight fade, 69-70 mph. In the game, Hill challenged hitters, filling of the strike zone with all three pitches. |
Landry Kyle RHP / SS / Heritage Hall, OK / 2020A very projectable 6-foot-1, 145-pound frame with some athleticism and plenty of room to add size and strength. On the mound, works from a deliberate wind-up and uses his long legs to get down the mound well. Uses a full arm circle coming through an over the top slot. Fastball shows excellent downhill tilt, especially down in the zone, 75-77 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape at 65-68 mph with some late depth. Slider sits 73-74 with tight, cutting action. In the game, when Landry was down in the zone, he was very hard on hitters. |
Brody Rexroad 3B / RHP / Mustang, OK / 2021Physically advanced for his age, Rexroad stands 5-foot-11, 183-pounds. Works from an average tempo deliver that he repeats well. Arm action is long and smooth coming through a 3/4 slot with some arm speed. Fastball keeps its plane at 76-77 mph with what looks to be more in the tank. Slider has 10/4 shape and some late depth, 65-66 mph. In the game, was a bit streaky with his command, but will surely be an arm to watch as he adjust to his big frame. |
Austin Taylor RHP / RHP / Vian, OK / 2020A 6-foot, 220-pound frame. Works from an up-tempo delivery with some rhythm. Arm action is long in the back and comes through a high-3/4 slot.
