OK Fall Top Prospect Games: Second Basemen Analysis

PBR OK hosted the fourth annual OK Fall Top Prospect Games at beautiful Central Oklahoma. Over 65 invite-only players showcased their skill in front of the PBR OK staff, 6 colleges and two pro scouts. The talented event saw five sub 7.00 60s, 6 90+ exit velos, 14 infield velos of 80+, four outfield velos of 85+, six sub 2.00 second pop times, and five max fastballs at 85 mph. Players profiles have already been updated with stats and pictures with reports and video to be updated in the weeks to come. The number below do not represent a players all-time best, only what they achieved at this event. Today, we check out the five second baseman from the event.

Brady Greene 2B / SS / Choctaw , OK / 2022The 5-foot-10, 150-pound middle infielder showcased a lean 5-foot-10, 150-pound frame with projectability. The right-handed hitter begins with a slightly bent, even stance utilizing a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Demonstrated some sink into the legs while hitting into a front side with late give. A slightly uphill barrel path through the zone allowed for some backspin to the pull side gap. Repeatable swing yielded adequate barrel awareness during batting practice registering a 71 mph bat-exit velocity from the tee. Recorded a 7.20 60-yard dash. The primary second baseman displayed showed adequate footwork while taking advantageous routes to the baseball. Created momentum towards the target upon fielding generating accurate 71 mph throws across the diamond out of a fluid high ¾ arm-slot. |
Chase Alexander Hamilton 2B / SS / Deer Creek , OK / 2021
Showcased a long and lean 5-foot-9, 140-pound frame with room to add size and strength as he matures. The right-handed hitter begins with an even, bent stance utilizing a leg-hang to initiate his swing. Demonstrated hand separation upon load coupled with a strong lower half creating a slightly uphill barrel path through the hitting zone. Hit into a stiff front side with pull side gap power registering a 79 mph bat-exit velocity from the tee. Recorded a 7.38 60-yard dash. The primary middle infielder displayed adequate footwork with range to both sides. A quick first step allowed for momentum to be generated towards the target. Notched an accurate 77 mph arm-strength across the infield out of a high ¾ arm-slot with a moderate takeaway. |
Bryce Hance 2B / C / Southmoore , OK / 2021Displayed a long and lean 6-foot, 148-pound frame with projectability. The right-handed hitter starts with an even stance utilizing a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Generated a slightly uphill barrel path while hitting into a soft front-side during batting practice. Registered a 74 mph bat-exit velocity from the tee with feel for the barrel. Recorded a 7.87 60-yard dash. The primary second baseman featured average footwork with soft hands. Notched a 74 mph arm-strength across the diamond out of a high ¾ arm-slot with a moderate takeaway. |
Joshua McKay 2B / RHP / Union, OK / 2020Demonstrated feel for a stocky, physical 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame. The right-handed hitter starts with an even stance using a lift-and-replace stride to begin his swing. Generated a slightly uphill barrel path through contact while hitting into a front side with late give. Displayed a 77 mph bat-exit velocity from the tee and recorded a 7.52 60-yard dash. The primary middle infielder showcased active footwork with a soft glove hand allowing for range to both sides. Controlled his body on the slow roller play with comfortability to make plays on the run. Notched an accurate 76 mph arm-strength across the infield out of a high-effort, high ¾ arm-slot. |
Hayden Money 2B / SS / Edmond Memorial , OK / 2022Showcased feel for a lean, 5-foot-7, 125-pound frame with room to add size and strength as he matures. The right-handed hitter begins with a wide, even stance utilizing a quick toe-tap stride to initiate his swing. Generated barrel whip using advanced hip shoulder separation while hitting into a stiff front side. Registered a solid 84 mph bat-exit velocity from the tee while creating a slightly uphill barrel path through the zone. Recorded a 7.16 60-yard dash. The primary middle infielder flashed soft hands with active feet, allowing for momentum towards the target. A quick first step and athleticism were evident with range to both sides of the field. Notched accurate 70 mph throws across the infield out of a high ¾ arm-slot with a short takeaway. |
