WESTFIELD, IN – There were lots of big performances on Day 2 of the Future Games, the first day of game play at Grand Park. But none bigger than a trio of 2020 prospects: INF/RHP Mac Horvath (Rochester Century HS, MN), RHP Nate Wohlgemuth (Owasso HS, OK) and RHP Charez Butcher (Kokomo HS, IN).
The three rising sophomores all delivered show-stopping performances in different ways while competing in front of more than 250 college coaches and pro scouts, though Horvath put himself on track as the front-runner for Future Games MVP with his offensive efforts.
Horvath, a 6-foot-1, 165-pound two-way prospect, torched Team Illinois for a 3-for-4 day that included a pair of doubles, a home run and a crushed a ball to dead-center that was robbed for another extra-base hit.
