With the winter showcase season complete, we have updated Ohio’s Class of 2014 rankings.
Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy’s Cameron Varga continues to hold the top spot in both Ohio’s rankings as well as the PBR coverage area.
Two of Ohio’s top left-handed pitchers, West Holmes' Butch Baird and West Jefferson's Caleb Ferguson, both rose up the rankings. Earlier this winter, Baird showed off a quick arm that produces a mid to high 80's fastball along with a late breaking 70-71 mph curveball. Ferguson continues to get better as he most recently showed off an 86-88 mph fastball with plenty of life along with a 69-71 mph breaking ball.
Other movers and shakers in the top 25 include Keystone two-way prospect Marcus Gunter, Hilliard Darby two-way prospect Nate Green, and Elyria athlete Jacob Csizmadia.
The following is a breakdown of the top heading into the start of the 2013 high school season. Rankings will be updated again in June following the state playoffs.
