Uncommitted Spotlight: Silva Thinking Baseball During Busy Winter
David Silva Jr SS / OF / Otsego, OH / 2019Rankings StateRank: 78 / POS: 9
TONTOGONY - Although basketball season is nearing tournament time, David Silva Jr. has not lost focus on his goal to play college baseball. “I go to the Bowling Green Fieldhouse two or three times a week to throw, hit and field grounders,” the Otsego junior said. “I also practice on Sunday.” It makes for a busy winter for the 5-11 165-pounder, who has helped the Knights to a 13-6 record on the basketball court. “I think playing basketball helps in dealing with adversity,” Silva said. “You can’t simulate that. It also helps with conditioning and with getting quicker feet defensively.” |
