DOVER - Participation in the Future Games and a chance to play for Bo Jackson Elite opened the eyes of Owen Poland. It also gave college coaches a glimpse of what is to come from the Dover junior pitcher. Recent visits to Holy Cross and Miami along with interest from Cincinnati, Bucknell, Campbell and Otterbein has the right-hander gaining notoriety on the college radar. “They like my size, Miami is definitely happy about that,” the 6-6 195-pounder said. “Another thing they like is my offspeed and how I’m able to work it in.” Poland credited “a lot of the interest” to the Future Games. |
