Uncommitted Spotlight: A Bigger Miller Working Hard On Hitting

BERLIN - Andy Miller has grown quite a bit since he was in ninth grade. The Berlin Hiland junior has put more than 30 pounds on his 5-9 frame and the 175-pounder is hoping that translates into a more powerful hitter on the field. “I’ve put on 30 to 40 pounds since I was a freshman,” Miller said. “I’ve been lifting a lot, especially with basketball and in the summer. That’s helped me get stronger. I can hit it harder and my throwing velocity is up.” It also has colleges showing an interest in the right-handed hitting infielder. |
