Jonny Nottingham (2013/Massilon Jackson)
The 6-foot, 205-pound right-handed prospect has a thick, muscular build. His fastball sat at 84-86 mph and touched up to 88 mph multiple times. Using a max effort delivery, he struggled at times with the command of his off-speed pitches, but eventually showed three effective off-speed pitches. His slider, which has good tilt, sits at 74-76 mph while his curveball registers at 70 mph. His changeup, which shows some fade, sits at 70-75 mph.

Nathan Hunt (2012/Hawken)
The 6-foot-3, 193-pound right-handed prospect has a long, lanky build. His fastball, which has effective arm side run, sits at 83-85 mph. Meanwhile, his slider sits at 74-76 mph. Lastly, his changeup sits at 71-73 mph. With Hunt’s frame, he could be an interesting follow heading into the spring.

Brian Malerick (2013/Hudson)
The 6-foot-4, 175-pound right-handed prospect has a long, lanky frame with plenty of room to fill out. He uses a high ¾ arm slot and easy arm action to generate an 81-83 mph fastball. His changeup sits at 68-79 mph while his curveball fluctuates between 63-67 mph. Because he has the tendency to open his front side early, he runs into mechanical issues that limit his consistency and effectiveness. However, with his size and projectability, he is a pitcher to follow next summer.

Holden Russell (2012/Granville)
The 6-foot-4, 195-pound right-handed prospect is an under the radar prospect. Last year, he did not throw much for his high school and he hasn’t been on the showcase circuit. Using an over the top arm slot, Russell generates a consistent 84-86 mph fastball with his max effort delivery. His most effective off-speed pitch proved to be a sharp, consistent 72-73 mph curveball. He also shows an inconsistent, developing 69-74 mph changeup.
 

Kendall Colvin (2013/Kenton Ridge)
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound right-handed prospect has a big, thick frame with a muscular lower half. His fastball, which shows some arm side run, sits at 80-82 mph. He showed strong command of his 73-75 mph changeup, which is thrown near his fastball’s arm speed. Likewise, he uses an effective 12/6, late breaking curveball. As Colvin becomes stronger and leans out, he should continue to add velocity and durability.

Ben Schloss (2013/Brush)
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound right-handed prospect displays an easy and consistent 81-82 mph fastball. He shows commands of both his changeup and curveball. His changeup, which is thrown near his fastball’s arm action, has excellent fade and registers at 71-73 mph. His curveball, which shows sharp, late breaking movement, sits at 69-71 mph.

 

Gabe Surgeon (2015/Crestwood)
The 5-foot-9, 165-pound prospect was the youngest player at the event. This was the second time that PBR has seen Surgeon this fall, and he is a definite follow. The southpaw has a lean, athletic build with plenty of room to fill out. He uses a ¾ arm slot with quick, fluid arm action. His fastball sat in the low 70’s, topping out at 75. Even more impressive, he demonstrated feel and command for both off-speed pitches. His changeup, which is thrown near the arm speed of his fastball, has excellent fade and sits at 61-63 mph. Also, his curveball, which has tight 1/6 break, sat at 59-60 mph.

Alex Zander (2012/Cuyahoga Heights)
The 6-foot-2, 165-pound left-hander displayed an easy 77-79 mph fastball with natural cut from a high ¾ arm slot. His changeup registered at 71 mph while his curveball sat at 67-68 with a small bite. It should be noted that Zander has been playing football, so he isn’t in the best baseball shape.

Austin Previt (2013/Strongsville)
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound right-handed prospect shows a 79-81 mph max effort fastball. While he shows potential due to his size and arm strength, Previt needs to continue developing his off-speed pitches. His changeup, which is thrown near the same arm action as his fastball, shows potential, but lacks effective movement. Meanwhile, his curveball sits at 64-65 mph.

Bennet Stuffel (2013/Walsh Jesuit)
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound right-handed prospects displays a 77-79 mph fastball from an over the top arm slot. His changeup, which shows sink, sits at 70-72 mph. His curveball, which shows effective 12/6 movement, sits at 63-64 mph. With his easy, fluid delivery, Stuffel should continue to add velocity as he heads into the spring and summer.

Christian Osborne (2013/Coshocton)
The 5-foot-11, 165-pound right-handed prospect shows a 73-74 mph fastball with occasional arm side run. His changeup sat at 65 mph with signs of fade. His curveball, which needs additional development, sat at 61-62 mph. He doesn’t consistently stay on top of it, and consequently lacks control and effective break.

Corbon Angermier (2013/NDCL)
The 6-foot-4, 197-pound right-handed prospect uses a high ¾ arm slot as he displays a 76-79 mph fastball. His changeup, which shows some arm side run, registers between 67-69 mph. His curveball, which tends to be flat, sits at 65-67 mph. With his large frame, Angermier will continue growing into his body. If he is able to better incorporate his lower half, he will only add to his velocity and effectiveness.

Cory Teachout (2013/Medina)
The 5-foot-11, 160-pound right-handed prospect uses an over the top arm slot. His fastball sits at 79-80 mph. His changeup, which sits at 69-70 mph, is straight. His slider fluctuates between 62-66 mph and shows a small bite.

Emmanuel Garcia (2012/Lincoln West)
The 6-foot-3, 178-pound right-handed prospect has a big, solid frame. He uses an over the top arm slot to generate an easy 77-79 mph fastball. Initially, he struggled with his command, but after settling in, he showed the ability to locate his fastball. His most effective off-speed pitch proved to be a hard breaking 64 mph curveball. He also uses a 57-59 mph changeup that needs additional development. With his size and easy arm action, Garcia should continue to add velocity and potentially be a late bloomer.

Griffon Angermier (2014/NDCL)
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound right-handed prospect an over the top arm slot and short arm action. With a big frame that should only grow as he matures, the young right-hander needs to improve his torque and use his lower-half. His fastball sits at 69-71 mph. His changeup was straight and sat at 60 mph, and his curveball registered at 53 mph.

Joseph Sadowski (2013/North Royalton)
The 6-foot, 160-pound left-hander uses a long and easy arm action from a high ¾ arm slot. He consistently displayed and located a 77-79 mph fastball. His changeup, which is thrown near his fastball’s arm speed, has excellent sink and registers at 72-73 mph. His curveball, which needs additional development, sits at 65-66 mph.

J.R. Davis (2012/Mansfield)
The 6-foot-5, 220-pound right-handed prospect displays a 78-80 mph fastball. His curveball, which has 11/4 breaking movement, sits at 68-70 mph while his changeup shows good sink while sitting at 71 mph.

Zachary Browning (2012/Cuyahoga Heights)
The 6-foot, 175-pound right-handed prospect displays a 77-78 mph fastball with flashes of arm side run. His curveball, which has 12/6 movement, fluctuates between 64-70 mph. His changeup sat at 71-72 mph.

Mason Birkbeck (2014/Orrville)
The 6-foot-1, 160-pound right-handed prospect displayed a 74-76 mph fastball with a small amount of arm side run. His most effective off-speed pitch proved to be his changeup, which at 65-67 mph and showed excellent sink. He didn’t show control of his curveball (60-62 mph) out of the windup, but out of the stretch, he established consistency

Sean Conner (2012/Barberton)
The 6-foot, 205-pound right-handed prospect uses a short arm action. He displays a choppy rhythm with his delivery, which allows him to hide the ball ball. His fastball sits at 78-80 mph. He lacked consistent control of his changeup, which sits at 70-71 mph. His curveball sat at 70-71 mph

Timothy Benner (2013/Walsh Jesuit)
The 5-foot-9, 165-pound right-handed prospect uses an over the top arm slot and easy, fluid arm action. Although undersized, he shows life on his 79-81 mph fastball. His changeup, which shows occasional fade, sits at 72-75 mph. His slider, which lacks control, sits at 69-70 mph.
