By JD Heilmann and Dylan Hefflinger

Ohio Scouting Director and Ohio Editor in Chief/NW Scout

There are 16 left-handed pitchers ranked in the top 100 of the 2015 class for the Buckeye state. 12 of the 16 are already off the board to some quality programs within the ACC, Big Ten, SEC, MAC, Conference USA and Atlantic Sun. However there are still some extremely talented LHPs available, including the six we are highlighting. There are also 10 other uncommitted LHPs ranked in the top 250, as you can see within the Updated 2015 Rankings, that would be great assets to a baseball program at the next level.

Top Six Uncommitted 2015 Left-Handed pitching Prospects

Braun Miller, LHP, Perkins, 2015

Scouting Report: 6-foot-4, 168 pounds with a tall lanky frame. Ranked 20th in Ohio’s 2015 class. On the mound, the southpaw throws from a 3/4 slot with long arm action. Easy effort delivery. He showed good command with an 84-88 mph fastball that consistently showed late life in the zone. He also throws a very impressive hard 75-78 mph slider. The slider shows sharp movement and proved to be very tough on both left and right-handed hitters in the fall league. Tendency to land closed, causing him to throw across his body.
