4/16/14 St. Edward at St. Ignatius Game 1 (BW)

St. Ignatius’ Nick Margivicius (St. Bonaventure recruit) put on a dominating pitching display against St.
Edward as the Wildcats scored a big early season victory against the west side rival Eagles. The Senior LHP gave up only one hit and a walk while striking out 12 Eagle hitters in just five innings. St. Ignatius senior Nick Fabian (West Virginia recruit, pictured right) hit a big two-run double to left and junior Alex Panstares had two hits and an RBI to pace the Wildcats offensively. 

4/17/14 St. Edward at St. Ignatius Game 2 (BW)

St. Ignatius senior Nick Fabian (West Virginia recruit) and St. Edward sophomore Jaret Edwards battled in a tight game until St. Ignatius erupted for four runs in the bottom of the 4th inning turning a 2-1 lead into a 6-1 victory.  The big hits coming off the bats of junior catcher Alex Panstares and sophomore third baseman who both provided two out two RBI doubles in the inning.  Senior Nick Longo (Miami of Ohio recruit) had an outstanding all-around game for the Wildcats (2 for 3, 2B, R, RBI, SB ). Joe Weisenseel led the Eagles with two hits reaching base safely three times.
