PBR: Why did you choose Shawnee State ?
Huber: I chose Shawnee State for many reasons. Only being about 2 hours away from home was a huge factor, as well as the school and program itself. With the success the program has had in the past, its only going to get better. Being conference champions two years ago, conference tournament champions this past year and making it to the regionals, coach Tom and Coach Moore both expect big things in the coming seasons. Also, when I got to sit down and talk to Coach Tom and Coach Moore, I really liked what they had to say and how they run the program. Finally, the guys I met on the campus and on the team were all super nice and had nothing but good to say about the school. 

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Huber: I was considering Tusculum, Alderson-Broaddus, Mississippi College, William Carey, and Lake Erie. 

PBR:  Where did the coaching staff first see you compete?

Huber: Coach Moore saw me pitch at the PBR Unsigned Senior Showcase at Sinclair CC

PBR: What role does Coach Tom expect you to play during your first year on campus?
Huber: Coach Tom expects me to work hard, get stronger, and compete for a spot in the rotation my first year there. 

PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that will help SSU?
Huber: My biggest strength as a player would have to either be my attitude(that nobody can beat me) when I'm on the mound, or my ability to react from the mound. I believe this will help me out by allowing me to gain confidence when I'm pitching, and by allowing me to do all the small things that get over-looked from the pitching position to help my team get outs and wins. 

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Huber: My summer coaches Rick Wilson and Jim Arnold have had the biggest impact on me as a player. Both are the best guys I have ever met. They have both taught me ungodly amounts of skills of the game, and have both been there for anything. I can honestly say I would not be in the position that I am in now to play at the next level if it wasn't for them. Also, my parents have always been there to push me to do my best, and I can't thank them enough for the huge amount of sacrifices they have made to let me reach my dreams. 

PBR:  Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience playing summer ball?
Huber: I play for the Cincinnati Bulldogs and my most exciting experience would have to be when my team last year, the Cincinnati Mavericks, went to Clearwater, Florida, to play in the IBC World Series. During pool play we played the Bullets Baseball from Tampa, and to say the least it was the most exciting game i've ever played in. After beating them in pool play, I got to pitch against them in the quarter-finals and threw a no-hitter. I've never seen a team so mad in my life ever before, and I loved every minute of it. 

PBR: What were your stats last season for Roger Bacon?
Huber: 4 G, 14.2 IP, 2-0 record, 18 K, and a 3.34 ERA. This summer I was 7-1 with a 2.22 ERA. 

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter you have faced in Ohio?
Huber: The toughest hitter I have faced in Ohio is unknown. I've never really thought about it in that way, but the toughest team of hitters I have faced would either have to be the Ohio Warhawks, Ohio Elite, or the Bullets Baseball Academy.
