PBR: Why did you choose Bellarmine?
Burns: I chose Bellarmine because I love there campus and the academics are great. The program also shows great upside.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Burns: Lake Erie College
PBR: Where did the coaches first see you? How did your relationship develop with their coaching staff?
Burns: The coaches first saw me play at a workout my summer coach put together. My relationship developed between the coaching staff through email. Which then lead to a phone call.
PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Burns: They expect me to be an impact player my first year and compete for the starting 2B job.
PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you will help Bellarmine baseball?
Burns: I feel that I bring good intangibles to the game. I'm always into the game and I'm a competitor. I hate to lose.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Burns: I played for Cincinnati Baseball Club in the summer and I can't pick one specific experience. The whole season was great.
PBR: What were your stats for last spring season at Fairfield?
Burns: AVG. -.316, OBP.-.385, RBI-14, 2B-8, SB-8, Runs-16
PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Ohio?
Burns: Probably Austin Allinger or Greg Simpson
