PBR: Why did you choose Ashland?
Seymour: I chose Ashland because of its strong baseball program, great coaching staff, and outstanding Business School
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Seymour: Walsh, Marietta and Tiffin
PBR: Where did the Coach Schaly first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?
Seymour: I sent Coach Schaly my video, and he then asked me to come on a campus visit and workout with the team. Since the visit we have communicated regularly and continue a growing relationship.
PBR: You participated in PBR's Unsigned Senior Games. How did your performance at this event help you in the recruiting process?
Seymour: PBR is great resource for collegiate athletes, and they were able to get my name out to college coaches in the area. The Unsigned Senior Games gave me the opportunity to showcase my skills to several colleges which helped me further advance the recruiting process in a short period of time.
PBR: Ashland is making several new upgrades to their baseball facility. How much of a role did that play in your decision?
Seymour: I was drawn to Ashland through their passion for the game of baseball, and their determination to succeed. The new upgrades are a testament to that determination and definitely a bonus.
PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team for the rest of your senior season?
Seymour: My goal is to be a leader and help my team succeed in the playoffs in any and every way that I can.
PBR: What were your stats for last spring season at Carroll?
Seymour: .395 Ave 34 Hits 10 Doubles
PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Ohio?
Seymour: Zach Shannon from Moeller HS
