PBR: Why did you choose Ohio University?
Rudnicki: I chose Ohio University because they have outstanding academics, a great baseball program with great coaches, and also because I felt that it was the best fit for me as a student-athlete.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Rudnicki: Eastern Michigan, Akron, Toledo, Kent State, and Buffalo.
PBR: Coach Smith was just recently hired at OU. How does it feel to be a part of his first recruiting class?
Rudnicki: It is very exciting to be a part of his first recruiting class because he, along with the other coaches have a wealth of experience and success in their careers thus far and I believe that he will lead us on a path of success.
PBR: Where did the Bobcat coaches first see you?
Rudnicki: The Black Swamp 2012.
PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Rudnicki: The coaches see me as a pitcher who can contribute my first year in the program.
PBR: At this point in your development as a pitcher, what areas do you think still need the most improvement?
Rudnicki: I believe I need the most improvement in a couple of my off-speed pitches, and an all-around increase in velocity.
PBR: What team do you play for in the summer?
Rudnicki: Brownlee Lookouts.
PBR: How does it feel to be a part of a Division 1 program?
Rudnicki: It feels great. I've been playing baseball since I was little, and it feels good to know that all the work I've put in since then has paid off at this point in my career.
PBR: What were your stats this spring season at Toledo Central Catholic?
Rudnicki: I went 5-3 over 53.1 IP, 24 Hits, 23 runs, 9 earned runs, 87 K’s, 1.18 ERA
PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio?
Rudnicki: Mitch Longo
