PBR: Why did you choose Loyala Marymount?
Brown:  The coaching staff there is awesome. Coach Gill and Coach Ward are great people. The opportunity to play is immediate and is a spot for impact play. The development of my baseball abilities as well as social in becoming a better person is tremendous there. I will be catching great arms from the mound while playing against great competition on the west coast, year round of course.  

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Brown:  I was considering schools in the Sec like Ole Miss and Arkansas and on the east coast, Elon. Then a couple of northern schools in Kent State and Michigan. All great programs with great futures ahead of them. 

PBR: Where did coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with their coaching staff?
Brown:  The coaching staff saw me for the first time at the PG national in Minneapolis. They came suddenly with strong interest and I was not going to pass it up. We talked about three to four times a week and developed a great relationship and finally met the assistant coach Bryant Ward in person on my unofficial visit last Saturday and was amazed. Unfortunately I have not met coach Gill, head coach in person because he is out of country with Team USA. 

PBR: How does it feel to be a part of a Division 1 baseball program?
Brown: It feels awesome. It is a dream come true something I have worked for since I was four years old going to my first baseball game. My hard work has paid off. 

PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Brown: The coaches are giving me the opportunity the come in my first year and compete at the catching position to have great time that season behind true dish if I progress with my abilities as I should. 

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Brown: I play for the Midwest Pelicans and the East Coast Grays. My most memorable experience was the Tournament of Stars, a 144 man, week long tryout for the USA 18u team. It was amazing you were treated as big leaguers and played with the best kids in the country and had an opportunity to represent our country.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? 
Brown: I always wanted to have an opportunity to play as a freshman and then develop. I thought it may have more fun as it got stressful as it went on but I'm blessed to have decisions to make and several opportunities for the future. 

PBR: What were your stats this spring season at Walsh Jesuit?
Brown: I hit .439 with 5 HR's and 29 RBI and 12 2B. 

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Ohio?
Brown:  Robert Ziegler from Defiance (committed to UK).
