PBR: Why did you choose Lake Erie?
Pecnik: I chose Lake Erie because of Coach McGee, He has an amazing love and passion for the game. He and his staff have a commitment to winning. The players I spoke to love school, and love playing for Coach McGee.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Pecnik: Wheeling Jesuit and West Virginia Wesleyan
PBR: Where did Lake Erie first see you? How did your relationship develop with their coaching staff?
Pecnik: The staff was recruiting a pitcher from my summer team this past season. My relationship developed rapidly after I went to their showcase camp in the fall.
PBR: Lake Erie seems to be a program on the rise, how did that impact your decision to go up north?
Pecnik: It is obvious Coach McGee is doing things right up there, and I wanted to be a part of it
PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Pecnik: Utilize my speed offensively and defensively. (6.75 60 Yard Dash Time)
PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you will help Lake Erie?
Pecnik: I have a high baseball IQ, great foot speed, cover a lot of ground defensively, and can make things happen offensively. I always want to learn more to improve my game.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Pecnik: Last summer I played with the Lake Erie Bulldogs, this summer I will be with the Ohio Longhorns. My most memorable moment was beating the Kentucky Colonels in the Worthington Phoenix Wood Bat Quarterfinals in extra innings.
PBR: What were your stats for this spring season at Wadsworth?
Pecnik: AVG .298, 14 Walks, OBP .405
