With key position players returning, Waynesville High School is looking to capitalize on their experience and offensive capabilities this spring. 

Coach Begley’s squad returns five starters from a squad that went 17-9 last year. The infield, which is one of the best in the state, features senior shortstop Ty Black (OU recruit), senior third baseman Connor Combs (Sinclair CC recruit), and sophomore Troy Black. Meanwhile, junior left-handed pitcher Wyatt Myers will return as the staff ace, but in order for the team to make a Division III tournament run, Waynesville will need to build depth in their pitching staff.

Class of 2013

• SS, Ty Black – The Ohio University recruit earned first team Miami Valley honors last season.
• 3B, Connor Combs – The Sinclair CC recruit earned first team SWBL honors last season. 

Class of 2014

• LHP, Wyatt Myers – The southpaw earned second team SWBL honors last season.

Class of 2015

• IF, Troy Black – The sophomore earned second team SWBL honors last season.
