AVON- In game two of the Ohio Jesuit Cup the No. 11 ranked St. John's Jesuit Titans faced the No. 12 ranked Walsh Jesuit Warriors. The Warriors won a thriller 4-3 to up their record to 19-3 on the season, while the Titans slip to 13-5.

Walsh Jesuit won in walk-off fashion as junior Cassidy Brown, a 6-3 catcher, delivered a game-winning two-RBI double over the left fielder's head in the bottom of the 7th.

The inning started with a lead-off walk to sophomore Kyle Holdsworth. Jimmy Scott came into try to get his second save in two games for the Titans but allowed a walk to his first batter to put runners on first and second. A sac bunt put runners at second and third before Holdsworth was thrown out at the plate on a fielder's choice. With runners on the corners, Brown delivered the game-winner

St. John's got on top early in the top of the 2nd inning as freshman Devon Garcia started the inning off with a walk and senior Donovan Phillips moved Garcia to second with a sacrifice bunt. Freshman T.J. Lake ripped a single to right scoring Garcia. Jessie Adams plated Lake with a single and an error by the left fielder, putting the Titans on top 2-0.

The Warriors cut the lead to 2-1 in the third inning with a lead-off double by sophomore Gino Sassano. After being moved over to third on a groundout to the right side, sophomore 2-hole hitter Nate Romans put down a squeeze bunt to plate Sassano.

St. John's tacked on another run as Phillips walked with one out before Lake, an impressive left-handed hitting 6-0 catcher, blasted his second single through the right side. Phillips stole third to put runners on the corners and, after a strike out, junior 2-hole hitter plated Phillips with an RBI single to put the score at 3-1.

Walsh Jesuit cut into the deficit in the 5th inning with sophomore Trevor Ray drawing a lead-off walk. A sacrifice bunt by freshman Dominic Mittiga moved Ray to second and Sasanno plated Ray on an RBI single to cut the Titan's lead to 3-2, before Brown delivered in the 7th.

Walsh Jesuit went with junior Mark Mittiga, who went the first two innings allowing 2 runs. Mittiga was in the 77-81 mph on the fastball. Sophomore Joel Ruane came in the 3rd inning allowing 1 run, while striking out 3. Junior Bennet Stuffel picked up the win on the mound, pitching the 7th inning allowing 1 hit

St. John's went with Collin Korte on the mound, his first-ever varsity start. But the sophomore hurler looked far from a rookie on the hill, throwing six-plus innings holding the talented Warriors to 3 runs on 4 hits. Korte walked 4, hit a batter and struck out 1. Korte was in the 77-80 mph area with the fastball.
