Bowling Green vs Defiance - 3/28/19

Caden Kline LHP / OF / Defiance, OH / 2020

Report: One of the top southpaws in the state and on this day had some of his best stuff I have seen from him early on before losing the zone a bit later in his outing. Tall, lengthy frame at 6-3, 180-pounds. Above average arm speed through a 3/4 slot. If you haven't seen him live, it would be a good idea to check him out as this is an arm that can help a program.

Pitch Repertoire:
Fastball:
The fastball was electric in the first inning, touching 87 mph on a couple of occasions before settling in at 83-86 mph.
Slurve: The offspeed pitch has the sharpness and break to be a true strikeout pitch. Shows good 1/7 shape while coming in at 70-75 mph.
Changeup: Rarely thrown on this day, but when thrown, shows a little arm-side run at 74-76 mph.

Game Performance: 4 innings, 2 runs, 1 ER, 4 hits, 6 K's, 4 BB

Bryan vs Napoleon - 3/26/19

By: Dylan Hefflinger
PBR Ohio Editor in Chief / NW Scout

Nathan (Dom) James LHP / 1B / Bryan, OH / 2020

Report: 5-8, 186-pound southpaw was dominant in his performance against Napoleon. The ball comes out of a low-3/4 arm slot with an uptempo delivery. Has good feel/presence on the bump. Creates tough angles on hitters, especially LHH's.

Pitch Repertoire:
Fastball:
Shows natural run at 74-77 mph. Ball seems to get on the hitter.
Curveball: 2/8 sweeping break solid depth and sharpness at 65-67 mph.
Changeup: Looks confident in both offspeed offerings. The change shows similar run as his fastball at 70-71 mph. Would benefit from a bigger speed gap between the FB and CH.

Game Performance: 7 innings, 0 runs, 5 hits, 11 K's, 0 BB

Tinora vs Elmwood - 3/25/19

Spencer Giesige RHP / 3B / Tinora, OH / 2019

Report: 5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed pitcher who's committed to Findlay. Uses a quick tempo delivery through a chest high lift working and good direction to the plate. Arm path is clean. The two-way prospect showed a smooth swing from the left side, while producing two singles in the game.
Fastball: Shows some run at 82-84 mph, topping at 85.
Curveball: 11/5 break with some sharpness at 72-74 mph.
Changeup: Looks confident in both offspeed offerings. The change shows cutting action at 69-70 mph.

Game Performance: 6 IP, 2 R, 4 H, 5 K, 3 BB | 2 singles
