Preston Clark, 2B/SS, Woodridge, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 160-pound thin frame with room to grow. In the infield he shows good footwork and range. Fields the ball out in front of his body with soft hands. Throws with clean arm action from a high-¾ slot with 79 mph arm strength across the diamond. At the plate the right-handed hitter shows a fluid load with a flat bat path through the zone while registering an 84 mph exit velocity. Recorded the third best 60 time with a 6.76.
The Top Arms
Mitchell Sorensen, RHP, Avon Lake, 2016
Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 170-pound athletic build. On the mound his delivery requires some effort. His mechanics have good tempo and are repeatable. He lands even at foot strike. Arm-action is clean and comes from a high-¾ arm slot. Fastball sat 88-89 mph with good life. Curveball breaks on an 11/5 tilt at 71-72 mph. Throws a hard changeup at 81-82 mph.
