DEFIANCE - Lincoln Trail College has become a popular landing spot for Defiance High School baseball players. Four have gone there in the past decade including Justin Hancock, a promising pitcher with the AAA Iowa Cubs who was a ninth-round pick in the MLB Draft out of Lincoln Trail in 2011. Make it five Defiance products that have made the college in Robinson, Ill., home after a recent commitment to play for the Statesmen by senior hurler Mitchell Spencer. |
