Ohio Insider: Hard-Throwing Recker Makes His Commitment
Owen Recker RHP / 1B / Kalida, OH / 2019KALIDA - As one of the hardest throwers at the Future Games, it didn’t take college coaches long to discover Owen Recker. A month later the Kalida junior has decided on a college destination with Kent State the beneficiary. “Coach (Mike) Birkbeck sent a text to my coach and after the Future Games I gave him a call,” said the 6-4 225-pounder in reference to Kent’s pitching coach. “It was just a normal conversation. He liked how I pitched and told me to get in contact with their head coach (Jeff Duncan) and he’d make me an offer.” |
