Ohio Insider: Class Of 2018 Names College Coaches Should Know

With the Spring season and Summer showcase season coming to an end and the 2017-2018 high school sports season as well as fall ball underway, we would like to take a look at some of the top uncommitted prospects at each position. Over the next few weeks we will look at the top uncommitted 2018 prospects as well as the top underclass prospects. As you can see by the 2018 rankings, there are a good amount of commits all over the nation and plenty of talent left out there for colleges to find.

Today we are looking at the names college coaches should know in the 2018 class within Ohio. We highlight six arms as well as five position players below that. We will look to create a few top uncommitted lists each week, as there are numerous talented prospects still available. Enjoy!

The Arms

Brandon DeWitt LHP / OF / Beavercreek, OH / 2018

Event Attended: 2017 Southern Ohio Unsigned Senior Games
Scouting Report: The left-handed pitching prospect brings an athletic, projectable build to the mound. Very impressive pitchability, showing a mid 80s fastball and two near plus breaking balls. Noticeable jump in velocity from when we saw him in the winter. Curveball is a sharp, brig breaker that works on an 11/5 plane. Throws the slider firm, giving it impressive depth before it darts across the zone. Both pitches have swing and miss to them.
