Ohio Insider: A Long Journey To Pro Ball For Spitznagel
GREENSBORO, N.C. - It was after his freshman year at Dakota Wesleyan University that Ben Spitznagel decided playing professional baseball is what he wanted to do in the future.
“I had a successful season my freshman year and my dad and I talked that summer,” Spitznagel reflected. “I knew if I wanted to be where I'm at now I couldn't be in South Dakota. I wrote letters and attached my stats for Division I schools and some D-II schools but still nobody was interested.”
