With the 2018 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting mid-January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

Team Name: Newton Local Indians
Head Coach: Jordan Kopp
Division: IV
2017 Record: 26-3
Conference Record: Cross Country Conference, 11-2, 2nd Place
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 7/3

Coach Outlook: We are excited about the 2018 season. Our strength will be our pitching staff as we bring back our entire staff from a solid 2017 team. Competing for a Conference Title and District Championship are annual goals, but we have a lot of work ahead of us to achieve them.
PBR Outlook: The Newton Indians and coach Jordan Kopp return 7 starters and their 3 main pitchers from last season. Look for Newton to continue their success they had in 2017 which led to a 26 win season.
