With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Marysville monarchs

Team Name: Marysville Monarchs
Head Coach: Nick Blake
Division: I
2018 Record: 17-10
Conference Record: OCC-Central, 9-6
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/3

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Athleticism
  • Defense

Coach Outlook: "Young, athletic group who will be looking to build off of a district-finals appearance last season.  Success and potential of the 2019 team will be largely determined by the leadership we are able to develop."

PBR Outlook: Coach Blake and the Monarchs return a good amount of talent from a 17-win team from a year ago. Look for the Monarchs to be competitive in the always competitive OCC with hopes of making a tournament run when the time comes.
