Inside the Recruitment: '17 SS Brendan Regan commits to Michigan State

PBR: Why did you choose Michigan State?
Regan: I chose Michigan State because of the tremendous academics and baseball program. I loved the coaching staff and everything about the school.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Regan: I was also considering Kent State, Notre Dame, UCONN, Buffalo, and West Virginia.
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you?
Regan: Coach Meade the pitching coach had seen me play this summer at Grand Park. The coaching staff also saw me play at the Future Games.
PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment?
Regan: I play for Coach Ratcliff on Ohio Elite. The most memorable moment this summer was winning a tournament in Chicago and going 11 for 15 hitting that weekend.
PBR: You are only a Junior, how excited are you to have your commitment out of the way and are you finishedwith the recruiting process?
Regan: I am extremely blessed to be able to focus on school and baseball, and not worry about what school I will choose. Yes the recruiting process is over.
PBR: You participated in PBR’s Future Games, how much did your performance help your recruiting process?
Regan: The Future Games was pivotal in my recruiting process. When I showed well in the showcase and games I started to get a lot of attention.
PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?
Regan: I did not expect the recruiting process to move this fast, but I knew that Michigan State was the place I wanted to be so I did not wait.
PBR: What were your stats this spring season?
Regan: BA: .310 2B: 7
PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced?
Regan: The toughest pitcher I have faced is Michael McDonough. When he is on, he's lights out.
