PBR: You are considered a two-way prospect, what kind of role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Powell: I think my first year on campus I will have more of a DH role because there's a senior there right now, but after that I should slide over to that first baseman role.

Powell: My dad has had the biggest impact on me as a baseball player. He pushed me to be everything I am today, and put me in the best situations to get exposure.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience?
Powell: I play for the Cincinnati Astros, and this year we played a 14 inning game at Wright State it wasn't the outcome we wanted, but it was a lot of fun.
