PBR: Why did you choose Southern Illinois?

Hall: I chose SIU because I feel like I can develop into a better baseball player there while playing against good competition. But also because my dad played at SIU in the 80's. 

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Hall: Truman State, Maryland Eastern Shore, John A. Logan, Bowling Green, Jacksonville State and a couple more. 

PBR: Where did the coaches first see you?  How did your relationship develop with them?

Hall: The coaches first got to see me play at a prospect camp in Chicago. But I've always had a relationship with the SIU baseball program because of my dad. 

PBR: Was distance from home a factor in your decision?

Hall: Yes somewhat, but half of my family lives about an hour away from Carbondale so it makes the distance from home a little bit easier. 

PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?

Hall: My role at SIU all depends on my development and how hard I work. Coach Henderson always puts his best 9 on the field, whether it's a freshman or a senior. 

PBR: You have participated in numerous PBR events.  How has PBR helped you with the recruiting process?

Hall: Definitely, I didn't start becoming heavily recruited until after I began attending PBR events. They really helped get my name out there. 

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable experience?

Hall: I play for Team Citius (out of Texas). My most memorable experience this summer was getting 3rd out of 332 teams at the Perfect Game national tournament, and just being able to see myself getting better every game by playing with the talented guys that were on my team.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?

Hall: 100% my dad. He's taught me everything I know about baseball and he's the reason I'm where I am today. 

PBR: What were your stats last spring?

Hall: BA: .330, RBI's: 14 RBI's, 3 doubles, 19 hits, 13 SB's.

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Ohio?

Hall: Connor Curlis. He can throw it by you with his fastball or he can get you off balance with his offspeed.
