Jack Goonan, C, Ayersville HS, Class of 2016

PBR: Why did you choose Sinclair?

Goonan: I chose Sinclair because they are a very successful program, and its something I want to be a part of.  They have great facilities and a coaching staff that makes me feel at home.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Goonan: Some other schools that I considered were Mount Vernon Nazarene and Adrian.

PBR: Sinclair is known for sending many of their players to 4 year colleges.  How much of a role did that play in your decision to go to Sinclair?

Goonan: This played a major role in my decision.  As a player the main goal is to play at the highest level that I am capable of playing at, and the coaching staff at Sinclair also wants me to play at the highest level I can play at.

PBR: Where did the Coach Dintaman first see you?

Goonan: They first saw me play at Top Prospect Games last summer.

PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment.

Goonan: I played for my school summer team last year, and my most memorable moment was when I hit a walk-off grand slam.

PBR:  How much of a role did distance play in your decision?

Goonan: Distance didn't play a huge role in my decision; however, it is only about 2.5 hours away from home so my family could come watch games and visit without having to plan a huge trip.

PBR:  What were you stats last spring?

Goonan: 402 avg, 29 RBI's, 4 HR, 8 2B,

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio?

Goonan: The toughest hitters Ive faced in Ohio were either Deylen Miley or Shay Smiddy.  Both hitters can hit any pitch and make you work for your outs.
