Daniel Kreuzer, RHP, Westerville Central HS, Class of 2016

PBR: Why did you choose Wright State?

Kreuzer: I chose Wright State University for many reasons; the coaching staff, philosophy, challenging schedule, and the success of the program.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Kreuzer: I was considering a couple MAC schools, a Big Ten school, and an ACC school.

PBR: Coach Lovelady was name the new Head Coach at Wright State last summer.  How does it feel to be a part of his era as the Raiders coach?

Kreuzer: I feel extremely proud and excited to be a part of Coach Lovelady's program.  He has set some high goals for the Wright State baseball program and a clear plan is in place to achieve these goals.  He has a great coaching staff and the current players are great athletes.

PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team going into your junior season?

Kreuzer: My goals are to get bigger, stronger and faster.  I am looking forward to contributing to another OCC title and a run at the State Championship.

PBR: How does it feel to be a part of a Division 1 baseball program?

Kreuzer: Being a part of a Division 1 program has been one of my goals for as long as I can remember, the feeling I had when I announced my commitment was unreal.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?

Kreuzer: I currently play for the Cincy Flames and look forward to the summer.  My most memorable experience from the summer was while I was playing for the Columbus Cobras and hit my first career Grand Slam during the semi-finals of the Beast of the East Tournament.

PBR:  What person has the great impact on your baseball career and why?

Kreuzer: My parents have had the biggest impact on my baseball career.  They put a ton of time and effort into making me the player and person I am today.  They are always supportive of me and taught me to learn from both my high and low points in life.

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have face?

Kreuzer: The toughest hitters I have faced in my career would have to be the Ohio Surge baseball team and my Warhawk teammates.
