POWELL - “I can’t wait to go back to college four more years.” Those were the words of Adam Fallon’s father after the Bishop Watterson senior committed to Bowling Green. Todd Fallon, now 49, played baseball at BG but there was no attempt to persuade his son to attend his college alma mater during the recruiting process. “He let me do what I wanted to do,” the 75th-ranked player in Ohio’s 2019 class said. “We talked about the pros and cons of other places, but in the end he let me go where I wanted to go.” The decision where to play at the next level came down to Marshall, Ashland and Bowling Green. “It all started when they saw me the beginning of high school season my junior year,” explained the 5-11 158-pounder. “We kept texting to stay in contact. Then I got invited to the Top Prospect games and they saw me there. We talked more after that and they came to one or two more games. I ended up going on a visit and committed a week later. “I liked the coaches and felt at home on the campus,” Fallon continued. “It’s only an hour-and-a-half away and I was looking to stay close to home. It was down to three schools, but it just came back to BG had that at-home feel, plus D-I was always a dream and you want to try and pursue the dream.” There are key elements to the game that the left-handed hitting middle infielder can provide Bowling Green. |
