With 2023 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2024. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2024 Spring Team Preview: La Salle Lancers

Team Name: La Salle Lancers
Head Coach: Trey Aultman
Division: I
2023 Record: 13-14
2023 Tourney Finish: Sectional Finals loss to Loveland
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 7/3

Coach Outlook: "We are excited to showcase a large number of seniors returning that have provided great leadership to underclassmen ready to contribute. We have a hungry group that is ready to compete every day."

2024 Team Strengths:

  • Leadership- will probably be carrying ten seniors, many of which contributed on varsity last season.
  • Contact- we had an emphasis on reducing strikeouts this offseason. The guys really bought in and plan on putting pressure on opposing defenses.
  • Depth of arms- losing two starting arms that carried us the previous two seasons leaves a hole, but we have 8-9 arms that can get guys out that we can rotate in and out.

  • Dylan Kaiser, RHP, 2024, Tiffin Commit, 23 strikeouts in 15 IP last season (Video Below)
  • Dylan Ruhe, C, 2024, Tiffin Commit, Last season hit .291 with 7 doubles
  • Jack Lonneman, SS, 2024 Tiffin Commit, Last season hit .305 with 9 doubles
  • Tyler Forest, INF/C, 2024, Bluffton Commit
  • Logan Walpole, RHP/1B, 2024, Heidelberg Commit
  • Xander Schneider, RHP, 2024, Mount Saint Joseph Commit, 1.05 ERA in limited action last season

  • Kyle Reynolds, OF
