The 11th annual Future Games took place on July 27-30 at LakePoint in Emerson, Georgia. Top uncommitted prospects in the classes of 2024 and 2025 participated in one of the most popular events of the year.

There were 32 teams, including Team Ohio, with players representing 40 states plus Canadian prospects. Each team played three games the final three days of the event after all position players were put through a showcase workout on Wednesday.

Ohio went 2-1, defeating Florida on Thursday and Mid-Atlantic on Saturday, while losing to Massachusetts on Friday.

More than 300 colleges from across the country were looking on as approximately 500 players participated in this year’s event. In 2021, a record 330 college and professional coaches and scouts were in attendance.

JoJo Overbeek RHP / 3B / Anderson, OH / 2024 Rankings  StateRank: 15 / POS: 7 Report: 3-run bomb and closed the game up to 90 mph on the mound against Florida.

Davis Campbell SS / 3B / Cincinnati Country Day, OH / 2024 Rankings  StateRank: 45 / POS: 8 Report: .600 AVG, was on base all but 2 ABs, barrelled up everything he put in play, had multiple stolen bases

Best Workout Day Hitter

Bryan McAnally OF / 3B / Newark Catholic, OH / 2024 Rankings  StateRank: 30 / POS: 5 Report: As pure of a hit tool as you'll find in this class. Raked in BP and also had several hits in game.

Best In Game Defender

Brady Marshall C / SS / Orrville, OH / 2024 Rankings  StateRank: 31 / POS: 3 Report: Threw out 4 runners in 3 games, absolute hose behind the dish, receives at an advanced clip. Caught this weekend but also is a legit MIF as well.

Best Workout Day Defender

Anthony Sulek SS / Mason, OH / 2024 Rankings  StateRank: 38 / POS: 6 Report: Silky smooth actions at shortstop, elite ball skills, true middle skill set.

Junior Future Games - Five Names To Know

Parker Van Engelenhoven RHP / SS / Olentangy Liberty, OH / 2026 Report: Premier two-way, 6-3, dominant showing on the mound up to 84mph, several hits in game. Already receiving D1 interest/offers

Bryson Wittmer LHP / OF / Edison, OH / 2026 Report: Ridiculous tools for class - Sub 7.0 runner, electric on the mound up to 89 w/ a hammer, physical bat w/run producer upside. Already receiving D1 interest/offers.

Drew Hauenstein LHP / 1B / Olentangy Liberty, OH / 2026 Report: Already receiving D1 interest/offers. In his 1st start in 2 months he was 81-84mph and needed just 39 pitches to toss 4-no hit innings. Also very projectable bat from the left side.

Deacon Nelson MIF / RHP / University School, OH / 2026 Report: Can flat out play. Arguably Ohio's top defensive infelder who found barrels all weekend from the left side.

Keaton Bowers C / SS / Hilliard Bradley, OH / 2026 Report: Going to be a good one. Advanced skill set behind the dish, can glove it in the middle infield, and hit a no doubt home run in game. Expect him to catch/an even pass others in class as he's at the beginning stages of physical maturation.
