As the high school season rolls on, we look back at some of the top performers from preseason ID events. There was a ton of talent evaluated and still plenty of players uncommitted.

Scouting Report
Physical: 6-0, 205 pounds; Sturdy, full build. 7.35 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Loads straight back with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a flat swing path with a two handed finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 91 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep step while displaying fluid actions to the baseball. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a low 3/4 arm slot. INF - 75 MPH.
Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing while wrist hooks behind back; standard 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 82 MPH, while sitting 80-82 MPH; arm side run with sink. CB: 65-67 MPH; showed depth. SL: MPH; short action. CH: 68-70 MPH; maintains the same plain.
Physical: 5-foot-9, 224 pounds; Proportional, muscular build. 8.51 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Lifts hands with an exaggerated leg kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a long swing path with a late one hand finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 84 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while laid back. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Short take back from a low 3/4 arm slot. INF - 63 MPH.
Pitching: Stoehr uses a center rubber setup working primarily from the stretch. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while showing some scap load, while working through a low 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 70 MPH, while sitting 67-69 MPH; arm side run. SL: 60-63 MPH; short action.
