Scouting Report

Bat Speed: Bat speed, which is essentially the speed of the bat at the moment of impact, is often a strong indicator of a player’s “Raw Power”. Anthony put up some impressive numbers in 2024 peaking at 79.2 MPH and averaging 75.0, this puts him at the top of the college-pro range! His advanced consistency with the bat speed correlated directly into his BP results where he averaged an 89 MPH exit velo and peaked at 97.2 MPH. These results then carried over into gameplay at the Future games where he had multiple XBHs with mid 90' exit velos.
Rotational Acceleration: This is where the metrics jump off the charts. Mike averaged 20.9 G's which is above the MLB average of 17 G's and he peaked at 28.3 G's! This shows he can accelerate at an elite level into his plusbat speed. This allows him to track pitches deeper and make late decisions while being quick into the hitting zone.
On Plane Efficiency %: Here Anthony shows an advanced feel for the barrel by being on-plane with the incoming pitch at 74% on average. 70% is the magic number that shows us a player can consistently make solid contact. All these metrics together tell us Anthony has the ability to consistently put the barrel on the ball and generate quality contact with power potential at the next level.
