The Prep Baseball Report has made its way to New York producing eight top flight events between June and Sept. In that time we have seen over 60 class of 2015 3B's through the door and with that came some next level talent. With 20 players already making verbal commitments, here's a look at the top 10 3B's in the class of 2015 still available from this years events.

1. Andrew Bailey, RHP, Honeoye Falls-Lima HS, NY (2015)
Bailey stands 6-foot-0, 195-pounds with a strong, athletic frame. At 3B he uses good footwork to get around the baseball, fields it out in front of his body slightly on his glove side, and funnels the ball smoothly to his belt with a clean transfer. He throws form a high-3/4 slot, 83 mph arm strength, and gets his back side through his throws. At the plate his setup up is wide, weight shifted back, and back elbow high. He uses a small toe tap – stride for timing on the pitch, powers his hands inside the ball with a slightly inclined bat path through the zone. He uses long extension though contact with a shoulder height finish.

2. Justin Decker, 3B, CBA HS, NY (2015)

Decker stands 5-foot-11, 185-pounds with a solidly build frame. At third base he shows plus lateral movement, evidence from his 6.96 60 time. Stays behind ball glove out in front, quick transfer, short arm action, mid-3/4 slot with 80 mph arm strength. At the plate his setup is tall and relaxed. On the pitch he back loads, knee lift back with a stride, explodes hands inside the ball with a short path (91 mph exit velocity), plane is slightly uphill, powerful finish shoulder height.

3. Matthew Schneider, 3B, St. Marys of Lancaster, NY  (2015)
Schneider stands 5-foot-10 165-pounds with a strong lower half. At 3B he moves hard to the ball fielding ball in front, uses a long arm action from a high-¾ slot at 77 mph. At the plate he displays some serious next level power. He drove multiple balls over the fence in BP with a wide setup, uses a back load on the pitch and short stride for timing. He drives his hands inside the ball with a balanced swing, bat path slightly inclined through the strike zone with long extension after contact.

4. Joseph Kwasniewski, 3B, Iroquois HS, NY (2015)
Kwasniewski stands 6-foot-1, 183-pounds with solid size and room to add more. At 3B he gets around the ball with smooth actions, fields cleanly out in front of his body, quick funnel to his belt. His transfer is clean, arm action is short, throws from a mid/high-¾ slot getting his back side through the throw. At the plate he sets up with his feet slightly more than shoulder width apart and his hands low. On the pitch he turns his left knee in, straight back load and stride for timing. Shows power potential and fast hands evidence by his 91 mph exit velocity. His bat barrel is on an incline through the zone with a shoulder height finish. Interesting prospect.

5. Nate Chase, 3B, Webster Schroeder HS, NY (2015)
Chase stands 6-foot-0 180-pounds and a frame with a lot to like.  He fields the ball with a wide balanced stance, quick footwork, clean transfer, arm action that works easy and throws from a low ¾-slot at 77 mph. At the plate he starts wide and balanced, hands by his face, back load on the pitch with a small stride. He uses great weight transfer, balanced swing, level bat path through the zone with long extension. Signs of power potential.

Douglas stands 5-foot-11 155-pounds with a slender athletic frame. At the plate his setup is wide with a small load, toe lift, with his bat path staying level to slightly inclined with a high balanced finish. His exit velocity off a tee was 79 mph. at 3B he uses athletic baseball actions getting around the ball and through the ball on his throws. He throws from a mid-3/4 slot with at 80 mph. He ran a 6.87 60 yard dash showing great athleticism.

7. Joe Apkarian, 3B, Niskayuna HS, NY (2015)
Apkarian stands 5-foot-11 185-pounds with a stocky build. At 3B he uses plus baseball actions, moves athletically, stays behind ball, clean transfer, throws from a high-3/4 slot with 78 mph arm strength, gets back side through the ball.
