Scouting Report
Physical: 5-foot-10, 160 pounds; Lean, athletic build. 7.15 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Loads straight back with an up and down stride for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing a strong lower half. Showed a short swing path with a high finish. More fly balls than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 90 MPH via Trackman. Plus bat speed with feel for the barrel (73% sweet spot).
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; walks into ready position while being aggressive. Hands are soft while funneling to the hip before transfer. Moderate arm circle while using various arm slots. INF - 86 MPH. athleticism in the actions with a strong, accurate arm.
Physical: Long and lean 5-foot-9, 135-pound frame with plenty of athleticism in the actions and sneaky strength throughout. 7.44 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Tall, even stance with the hands starting out in front of the chest line with rhythm as the barrel pointed back over the shoulder, utilized a knee knock stride to initiate a flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Showed the ability to get short early with the swing and work through extension with regularity, demonstrated advanced feel for the barrel with a pull-side approach during batting practice. Was repeatedly on time at the front of the plate, a trait that carried over to game action where he recorded multiple hits on pitches both on the inner and outer halves of the plate. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 84 mph according to Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary middle infielder showcased short, rangy actions to either side of his body, consistently got around the baseball with intent to get downhill through the fielding window, smooth footwork on the approach while fielding off of the left side of his body. The arm worked fluidly through a high ¾ slot with a moderate arm circle. INF - 78 mph
