Uncommitted Spotlight: 2021 3B/RHP Nick Ianniello (Penfield)

Physical: 5-foot-11, 185 pounds; strong, athletic build. 7.63 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. upright, slightly open stance with hands starting in front of shoulder; gains some ground with a low, quick stride back to even while hands go straight back. strong effort into a stiff front side with gets on plane early and stays through the zone at a 73% efficiency .  Consistent hard line drive contact gap to gap with present pop; peak Trackman exit velocity of 90 MPH.
Defensively: Uses prep step; moves well laterally with active footwork playing through the ball . confident glove funneling to the waist; quick arm action with ability to vary release with the play.  INF - 81 MPH.
Pitching: high leg lift at a tall stack before driving out in line to a repeatable release and follow through. long, whippy arm action to a natural 3/4 release. FB: Peak velo of 80 MPH, while sitting 77-79 MPH. Life out of the hand with a Bauer unit of 27 (MLB avg 24) and advanced ride with vertical rise up to 23.7 inches . CB: 67-69 MPH. Sharp 11-5 shape with 2190 max spin, 11.5 inches vertical drop and up to 8.6 inches horizontal movement.  CH: 72-73 MPH. Good sell with up to 12 inches arm side run. 

Physical: 5-foot-11, 185-pounds. Lean, athletic frame.
Run: 7.74 runner in the 60.
Hit: RHH. Relaxed, upright stance with his hands slightly lower than shoulders that work back along with a small stride for timing Quick, direct barrel path to the baseball, creates some loft with an uphill plane, catches the ball out in front.
Power: 89 MPH raw exit velocity. Hard contact to pull side.
Defense: Deliberate, consistent footwork approaching the ball, fields the ball on his arm foot out in front of his body, shuffles to release.
Arm: Medium arm swing with a low 3/4 slot. INF - 81 MPH.

Pitching Delivery: Builds momentum with a high leg lift and slight turn, shoulders upright through stride out landing slightly closed to an aggressive, repeatable follow through.
Arm Action: Long arm swing, down and back out of the glove to a high 3/4 release.
FB: T83, 81-83 MPH. downhill plane with some ride through the zone.
CB: 66-68 MPH. 12-6 shape with early break.
CH: 73-74 MPH. Maintains hand speed with arm side run.

Has a physical frame at 5-foot-11, 215 pounds. Ran an 8.17 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- Stands in the box with a tall stance. Takes a short stride towards the pitcher. Uses a slight toe tap before entering the hitting zone. Shows a quick direct path to the hitting zone. Keeps his hands inside the baseball. Showed hard consistent contact. Gets good use of the lower half. A lot more in the tank. Has the potential to hit for power at the next level. Top exit velocity was 91MPH. Defensively- Gets in a low wide stance when fielding the baseball. Shows above average funnel actions. Shows a smooth exchange and throws from a mid ¾ arm slot. Top throwing velocity was 76 MPH. The 2021 graduate is a must follow.

A physical 5-foot-11, 215 pounds. Ran a 8.13 60 yard dash. Offensively- Stands in the box with a tall stance with a slight bend in the knees. Short simple load, keeps hands close to the body, and quick hands into the hitting zone. Displayed a short compact swing with some pop with an 89 MPH exit velocity. Consistent line drive swings during the hitting portion. Balanced throughout the swing with a two hand finish. Defensively- Gets into a wide base with attacking the baseball. Funnels the ball into a ¾ arm slot. Displayed active feet when throwing the ball across the diamond at 78 MPH. Pitching- Repeatable delivery with tempo loose ¾ arm slot. Uses a high leg kick, smooth hand separation, and drives from a strong balance point down the mound. FB (77 MPH) has some downward tilt into the zone. CB was 58-60 MPH and feel for a CH 70-71 MPH.
