Top Performer Spotlight: 2020 3B/RHP Chris Goyette (Medina HS)

Since June 7th, our boot-on-the-ground scouting team have seen 500+ players at showcase events, including the 2019 NYS Games. Already, 100's of players have caught the eyes of our professional scouting staff, all with dreams of playing baseball at the next-level. Over the remainder of the summer I (Dan Cevette) will be highlighting "Top Performer Spotlights" on players who really stood-out and offering my "Quick-Hit" thoughts on the players.

CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT

CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT: Through three events this summer, Goyette continued to impress and make strides forward. At first glance the frame is physical standing 5-foot-11, 185-pounds with more strength expected. In the box he's confident displaying a pure left-handed swing that repeats, it's short with lift through the ball, power to his gap-pull side. Defensively he shows the ability to handle the corner position, glove is clean with an above average arm-strength across the diamond. On the mound he shows sound mechanics, a fluid arm-swing, high 3/4 arm-slot with a FB that sits low 80's, feel for a three pitch mix. Goyette entered the 2020 NY Rankings today.
