Top Performer Spotlight: 2020 3B Liam Ward (Albion HS)
September 17, 2019
Since June 7th, our boot-on-the-ground scouting team have seen 500+ players at showcase events, including the 2019 NYS Games. Already, 100's of players have caught the eyes of our professional scouting staff, all with dreams of playing baseball at the next-level. Over the remainder of the summer I (Dan Cevette) will be highlighting "Top Performer Spotlights" on players who really stood-out and offering my "Quick-Hit" thoughts on the players.

CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT
CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT: I really enjoyed watching Ward back in July at our "Call to the Hall" event for committed players throughout NY. Ward as a lean but strong looking frame, one that is sure to add more weight as he physically matures. At the plate there's a fluid, easy rhythm to his swing path, shows barrel control but definitely more juice to his pull-side, the bat plays at the next-level. Defensively he worked from the hot-corner showing above average actions with his foot-work and glove, quick easy release from multiple arm-slots, and suitable arm-strength (80) that will only continue to develop. The WNY prospect is committed to Niagara University.
