President, New York
Since June we have been on the go; running showcases, tournaments and scouting events around the state every week and weekend in the summer. Through our travels we have seen hundreds of pitchers, ranging from the graduating class of 2020-2018. Here's a look at some of the pitchers that really caught our eye this summer at our events. Check out our Fall Events Schedule HERE.
Event Standout: NYS Games - June 25-27
Event Standout: St. Bonaventure - July 11
Scouting Report
Campus Series- St. Bonaventure (July 11, 2017) Nugent stands in at 6-foot-1, 175-pounds with a strong, lean, athletic frame. Sets up in the middle of the rubber with a simple side step into a high leg kick above his hip crease. Good drive down with appropriate separation getting into a good throwing position with a high ¾ release point. Utilizes whole body when throwing and repeats delivery on different pitches. Fastball sat 83-85 MPH and peaked at 85 MPH with good arm side run. Changeup has good arm side sink and sits 74-75 MPH. Slider shows tight action and is 73-74 MPH. Overall a high end 2018 prospect. Will only get better with added strength and his continued development. Committed to St. Bonaventure University.
Event Standout: Canisius - July 5
Scouting Report
Campus Series-Canisius (July 5, 2017) Bardo stands in at 6-foot-3, 225-pounds with a tall and thick pitcher's frame. Has a next level build with a strong lower body and efficient upper body mechanics that will get better with time. Pitching- From the windup, Bardo sets up with his feet shoulder width apart in a relaxed position. Utilizes a short side step to start into a high leg raise above the hip crease. Creates good separation driving forward when his lead leg starts to move towards target while his arm gets good loose action into his release point just above the shoulder. Peak fastball was recorded at 86 MPH with a range of 83-86 MPH and does show small arm side run. Curveball has tight spin showing 12/6 action that can be thrown for a strike. Recorded 70-72 MPH. Change up shows good arm side break with a proper velocity difference being recorded at 68-72 MPH. Was consistent spotting secondary pitches for strikes and getting hitters to offer.
Event Standout: Canisius - July 5
Scouting Report
Campus Series-Canisius (July 5, 2017) Compact, athletic 5-foot-10 175 pound frame. Pitching- Sets up glove side of the rubber; easy knee drive just above the belt from both windup and stretch. Long arm action from a high 3/4 slot; lands slightly open causing some unintentional arm-side run (not a bad thing as it stayed in the zone). FB sat 83-86, popping an 87 MPH on a downward plain. Above average CB with 12-to-6 shape, late action at 71-74 MPH, an above average secondary offering. Flashed a few changes in the 76-77 MPH range. Could be higher level bullpen option or front line starter at the right program. Committed to Canisius just after event.
Event Standout: Marist - July 25
Scouting Report
Campus Series-Marist (July 25, 2017) Stocky build with durable thick shoulders. Clean compact mechanics, simple pace, arm is fluid with some quickness to his hand. Fastball sat 82-84, peaked at 85 mph with minimal effort. Curveball shows above average spin and feel, hard shape. Uncommitted as of now but look for Rossi to verbal soon as several schools are interested.

Flashed a same plane change up in the mid 70's. Above average with quick hand-speed, next-level arm with feel and command.
Event Standout: NYS Games - June 25-27
Scouting Report
NY Games (June 25-27, 2017) Impressive 6-foot-1, 185 LHP with a projectable body. Pitching - uses positive hip tilt at the balance point for a fastball at 84-86 MPH that touched 87 MPH (+3 since February), uses height to get downward plane, but changes eye level, dots I’s on both sides of the plate, clean and loose arm action, effortless with a quick delivery that adds to the perception of the velocity, hard, late bite on slider at 72-73 MPH mixed with 12-to-6 curveball, next-level talent.
Event Standout: ProCase - June 26
Scouting Report
Procase (June 26, 2017) 5-foot-11, 155-pounds with a high ceiling on the mound. The lefty uses a loose arm-action with minimal effort, fastball jumps out of the hand sitting 83-85 mph with clear signs of more velocity to come. Sweeping slurve type shape 70-74 at times loose. Recently decommitted from Stony Brook and is wide open on his recruitment.
Event Standout: Canisius - July 5
Scouting Report
Event Standout: Future Games - Aug 2-5
Scouting Report
Future Games (August 3, 2017) Wiry 6-foot-2 175 pound RHP with plenty of room for physical gains. Appeared in one inning, FB sat 84-85 MPH from a three-quarter slot. Mixed in a splitter at change up differential, 76-77 MPH. In second outing, came out sitting 85-86 MPH in his first inning of work, challenged with late movement in the zone. Sharp-late down action to CB at 66-68 MPH. Flashed splitter at 76 MPH. Produced down the barrel contact on several left side groundballs. A must to keep an eye on.
Event Standout: Marist - July 25

Campus Series-Marist (July 25, 2017) Prototypical pitcher’s frame at 6-foot-2 185 pounds with broad shoulders. Simple mechanics, short stride, long arm action with low effort. Over the top Fastball sits 83-85, touched one off at 87 MPH. FB features nasty arm-side run. Change up was 74-75 MPH with some depth. Interesting prospect with more velo in the tank.
Event Standout: Albany - July 18
Scouting Report
Campus Series-Albany (July 18, 2017) Prototypical pitcher's build at 6-foot-2 180 pounds. Pitching- Showed an ability to repeat his delivery starting on his arm side pivoting to center rubber with an angled drop step. Drives up to a belt-high balance point; long and loose with arm action working through a 3/4 slot. Lands soft, working through a firm front side finishing square to the plate. Fastball had easy life with late arm-side run sitting 83-85 MPH, touching 86 MPH. Curveball has down action with some 1-to-7 shape to it at 72-73 MPH. Feel for his change up, although a touch hard at 77-78 MPH but held it's plain and was more then serviceable. High end follow for the class of 2019.
Event Standout: NYS Games - June 25-27
Scouting Report
Future Games (Aug 2-5, 2017) Super athletic build, wiry frame with high-end ability on the mound. Already shows above average composure for his age, plus command of all three pitches from a loose athletic arm-action. Fastball sat 82-85 with some arm-side run, uses curveball often and in all counts with tight shape. Just after the Future Games he committed to Maryland.
NYS Games (June 25-27): Quite possibly the overall best prospect in the event, Savacool looked calm and collected in front of 50 plus college recruiters at Binghamton University. Command during his outing of crisp, fastball peaked at 87 mph, his tight curveball sat 71-74 with command. Fun player to keep watching develop.
