SCOUTING REPORT
Long and lean frame at 6-foot-1 160 pounds with athletic actions. Offensively- Even setup with hands working back just below the shoulder; slight knee lift into a forward stride for timing. Aggressive swings with a relatively short swing path into the zone; high two-handed finish. Line drive/flyball results with a hint of power potential. Exit velocity off the tee was 80 MPH. Defensively- Demonstrated great lateral range, eating up ground with long strides. Stays active to the ball and through his breakdown; hands work well out in front with a some softness. Accurate arm that held it's carry at 75 MPH across the diamond. High ceiling for Prince as he settles into his frame.
THOUGHTS ON THE FUTURE
"Prince is an intriguing athlete, his frame is still developing and he showed athleticism up the middle this past September at Brockport. His swing featured some late explosiveness through the zone and he looks the part as a player that will split the gaps consistently. Defensively he may project more towards 3B as his glove side range stands out. We foresee Prince as a player that will steadily climb the 2019 rankings as he continues to mature and gain experience. Excited to see him at the Preseason All-State (West) in February."
